Let me introduce myself.

My name is tom, but on GF I'm better called as Nightion. I'm a Board Moderator & The helper-coordinator at Ikariam.nl and on Kingsage.org I fur fill the duty of Super Board Moderator. I first started this project as an ikariam.nl bot, but I got questions of other community's about how easy some of the tools are and if they could be available to them to. And so the project grew to what it is now.

Any questions may be asked here, but no long list's of questions please :P

I'm Paul, or Paultjhee. I'm 14 years old and I'm helper on Ikariam.nl. I helped a little with TrainerNL, and when it turned international, Athens asked me to become Board moderator of this forum.

We have launched the bot for the game Ikariam and the language Dutch & English yesterday.

And today we have launched the bot for the game Ikariam with the language Dutch. English will be available at a later time.

The last notice: The channelmanagement system has been turned of because of a malfunction. It will be back up asap!

IRC Rules

The Channel Operators in the BGHelper channels are alowed to kick or ban whenever they think its needed, if a user break one of the following rules:
- Spreading of illegal content. This includes, but is not limited to: mp3, warez, serials, cracks, porno, etc..
- Spreading of racism.
- Spreading of viruses.
- Ban avoiding.
- Flaming/Trolling other users. This includes, but is not limited to: Curshing, Insulting, Teasing, etc.
- Promotion of links who don't have anything to do with BGHelper, or channels other then the official BGHelper channels.
- Talking in another language, then the main language English.
- The posting of prive message without the explicit permission from the other user
- Ingame, board and IRC bans are not discussed in public channels.
- Spam
- The use of annoying scripts and bots. It is allowed to use mIRC addons, but please disable they annoying functions. (MP3, auto-slap, etc.)

Board Rules

When you have registrated on this site this means you've accepted the rules. The moderators can warn you if you disregard any of these.

General rules:

1: Every user is allowed to have 1 board account. If you need another one, or share your IP please contact a Administrator.

2: The board language is English. This is because we're supporting multiple languages. If you post in another language, please include a English translation of the same post aswell. t in a other language you need to post a translation with it. The one exception on this rule are the sub-boards. You are allowed to post in the community's language there.A exception is on the supported community's sub-forums. There may be posted in the language of that community.

3: Impersonating of a staff member is illegal and will not be tolerated.

4: It's not allowed to post for banned people. They are banned for a reason.

5: Flaming & Trolling in private message's is forbidden and you will be banned for it.

Post Content:

1: A post of one word outside the spam section will be seen as spam. If a post only contains emoticons it will also count as spam.

2: Post's that contain content and links of political, immoral and offensive material will be warned. If a post's contains porno graphical content it will be censored and the poster will be banned.

3: It's not allowed to post game-keys, cracks, trainers, warez, etc. This includes posting a link to internet page's that provide them.

4: If a post has as purpose to flame or troll other users it will be censored and warned.

5: This project is bound to GameForge games. Linking to non-GameForge games is not allowed.

Notice:

1: The Project Staff is allowed to change the rules when needed without informing the users.

2: The Board Moderator's can warn whenever, wherever they want.

3: If you disagree on a action (warning, removal of the bot, ect.) made by a teamler contact an admin. His/her word is final.

At first the bot only surved the Ikariam.nl-team. It's first purpose was to help us with giving training's (sort of "lessons"). After the first one the idea came up to make it more functional with an faq, building script and even an army script.

Those were available in the main channel until a user asked if he asked if he could get the bot in his own channel. That made us thinking. What if you could make this bot also more functional for alliances. We made it register able asap. After that we called all the helpers at that time together to discuss about what tools the bot should have.

First we made way to contact the helpers so the users could ask questions about ikariam from there own channel. Then we made it available to use the "community" tools also in there channels. After that more and more tools came. An easier poll system, an agenda, a fact system and even a way to manage the + and @ in the channels

That has been for a while until a user of an other community came to me and asked if it also was available to them. That has also been discussed and we decided to make the tools more open so we could easily adapt them to every community that wanted the bot. After that we went to the admins of a couple community's. The most of them thought is was a good (some even called it great) idea and would support it. There were enough people who wanted the bot so we started to script and bit by bit it's coming together now. We are almost at the point to release the bot to the community's.
