| Volunteers at the Charlotte Rescue Mission put in Easter morning kneeling over the fatigued and worn toes of the city’s homeless population, hoping to unfold some hope alongside just how.
“We wished to make the adore of God so actual you can touch it,” said the Rev. Tony Marciano, executive director on the Charlotte Rescue Mission.
In addition to its midday food, the organization’s Easter Sunday party provided a partnership with Samaritan’s Toes to present 218 pairs of footwear to attendees.

The shoe giveaway kicked off at six:fifteen a.m. Sunday though breakfast was served inside the dining corridor and flicks have been broadcast inside the chapel. It ended close to 10 a.m.
“It was a privilege to get a part of that have,” volunteer Christy Seay of Matthews reported. “It astonished me how open they ended up to sharing their burdens and letting me to take a seat and pray with them. It was really special.
