| Marietta native Doug Jones named ECHL Rookie on the Month
Jones scored two goals in a very 42 loss to your Ontario Reign on October 19th and also had two points (one goal, one assist) inside of a 43 win at Greenville on October 21st. Between October 21st and October 26th, Jones a three game point scoring streak, five of his 10 points in the month came during that span.
Jones joined the Gladiators over the past five games of this year just last year and scored four points (three goals, one assist) before here we are at Dartmouth College to accomplish his senior season. During Jones' during the past year at Dartmouth in 201112, he earned 25 points (11 goals, 14 assists) in 31 games and was named team MVP.
Jones stands out as the second Gwinnett player (both rookies) to obtain league wide honors at that point in the young season, goalie Mike Lee was ECHL Goaltender each week to the week ending October 28th.
Gwinnett travels to Florida to meet up with the Orlando Solar Bears Wednesday night in what would be the second meeting ever between these clubs. The Gladiators dominated the Solar Bears inside first talking with a 41 win from the Arena at Gwinnett Center.
